CREDITSTREAM

Streamlines and Expedites Loan or Lease Processing

The CREDITSTREAM simplifies the credit process from the time the customer walks in the door through credit approval and beyond. This user-friendly application accepts useful information from your front-end system (application/origination processing system, or documentation preparation system) into the Pipeline component in preparation for boarding to the host application. The other component is Tracking, which allows you to track information after the loan has been boarded and allows you to produce reports.

CREDITSTREAM streamlines your credit processing operations, eliminating the need to manually input data a second (or third) time prior to boarding to the host application, because the system uses import templates. In the CREDITSTREAM pipeline component, you can modify and refine the data as needed prior to boarding. User-defined checklists allow the data to be validated based upon installation policy for given product types. The client/server design allows the information to be centralized so anyone needing access to the information to perfect the deal is viewing the same data. CREDITSTREAM gives you the capability to track items and schedule activities and actions related to those tracked items. This eliminates tracking the follow-up activities in different applications or through paper notification.

Rule and Rule Set functionality provides a user-defined edit process for all Deals that are available during import and boarding in Pipeline. A Rule may be defined as an instruction that can compare data and perform certain actions as a result of the compare. For example, if you would like every imported deal to have an e-mail address, Rules can flag a deal where the e-mail is missing. You could set up a Rule that would give an error message if the e-mail field is blank.

The system can prevent a deal from boarding if critical user-identified exceptions exist on the deal.

Menus and toolbars are used in CREDITSTREAM to simplify navigation, maximizing update and inquiry access efficiency.

User Preferences can be accessed in both the pipeline and tracking component to indicate default settings to expedite processing. Both components have a default setting for the Help screens which can be accessed in several ways.

After the Deal has been boarded to the host application, the CREDITSTREAM tracking component monitors events and maintains additional information not normally stored on an accounting application. The individual elements that make up Tracking are the following:

  • Customers
  • Commitments
  • Loans
  • Collateral
  • Leases
  • Items
  • Activities
  • Text

Tracking allows for the centralization of portfolio information, making it available to anyone who needs to access it. This eliminates the problem of various pieces of information being housed locally, in individual databases, in handwritten logs, on sticky notes, or in other locations unknown or inaccessible to everyone.

Customer, Loan, Lease, and Commitment data in Tracking comes from the host application in nightly downloads. Collateral data can be entered directly into Tracking or boarded from Pipeline.

Items in Tracking are specific categories of information to be tracked. Activities are reminders to perform some action. Items and Activities may be changed. Text is a field where you can enter free-form comments for Customer, Collateral, Loan, and Commitment.

Letters and other documents can be produced in CREDITSTREAM. A document may be a letter, fax, or e-mail.

Custom reports from the CREDITSTREAM database can be created using tools such as Crystal Reports® or Microsoft® Access.
