Senior Business Systems Analyst Jim Cooke and his family participated in the Autism Society of Central Virginia 5K Run/Walk on May 28, 2011. They were part of a 54-member team called “Superheroes for Autism,” raising more than $3000 for the Central Virginia Chapter of the Autism Society. Overall the event raised more than $50,000.

“I hope the fundraising and the media exposure help the Autism Society of America nationwide, so they can help those families affected by autism,” says Jim. “For me, this event, and others like it, offer a glimpse into the lives of these strong families, and how they show their love for each other. It also provides me with an opportunity to teach my children about the spirit of giving, and helping those people that we can.”
