Ryan Gray Raises More Than $1000 by Riding in BP MS-150

BP MS-150

Congratulations to Shaw employee Ryan Gray, who raised more than $1,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society by riding in the BP MS-150 April 21-22. The BP MS-150 took place in the Texas countryside between Houston and Austin, with over 12,000 riders cycling a total distance of 150 to 175 miles.

“The weather for the event was sunny and cool, but with a bit of a strong headwind on the first day,” said Ryan. “As the MS Society leader Mark Neagli aptly said, lending perspective to the weekend, ’A headwind on a bike is a temporary challenge compared to the daily challenge of a life with MS.’ There were so many spirited supporters throughout the course, with people ringing cowbells, playing fiddles and bagpipes, and I even passed a few bubble machines along the way! On the second day of the event, the winds were in our favor as we were able to cruise into the Texas capital with thousands of spectators and supporters cheering us in. Definitely a great ride for a great cause!”
