Education: Brian graduated from Virginia Tech with an Accounting Information Systems degree.
Resume and Job Description: Brian previously worked at AT&T in Northern Virginia. He worked as an IBM main frame developer and tech lead, Unix/Oracle Developer and tech lead, and Oracle DBA. He also has previous experience at Capital One in Richmond, VA as a Unix/Oracle Developer and tech lead, ETL (Ab Initio) Developer and tech lead, Data Modeler, Middleware BSA, Tech Lead, and Development team Manager.
Brian joined Shaw Systems in September 2017 as a Product Support BSA for SPECTRUM. He solves client issues by recreating problems, identifying solutions, works closely with various SPECTRUM stakeholders, creates specifications for enhancements/fixes/new functionality requested by the SPECTRUM clientele, and assists the testing team when needed.

Family and Interests: Brian enjoys playing golf, watching Football and NASCAR racing, traveling, working out, and spending time with family. He has been married to his wife Heidi for 12 years. They have two daughters that have both graduated from Virginia Tech. One is working in the Finance industry and the other is studying to obtain her Master’s degree.
Perspective: Brian says: “My job is never boring and provides me exposure to all the various SPECTRUM products. I have the flexibility to deep dive if time permits into certain areas like looking at code, running database queries, looking at the SPECTRUM data model, etc. Everyone has been very helpful in sharing their knowledge with my teammates and I.
