Health and Business Continuity
The health of Shaw’s employees, clients, and partners is our primary concern. In light of global precautions for the COVID-19 Coronavirus, and advice from health professionals at all levels, Shaw Systems has and will continue to take aggressive steps and is committed to be a leader on this front. Over the past several weeks, we have been taking actions to help prevent infections to our staff, clients, partners, and the community. Additionally, in February, we began our annual assessment of all aspects of our Business Continuity Plan, particularly around the areas of IT, finance, and resource supply chain concerns. Shaw’s business continuity plan has been implemented at this point, and we are being proactive in our approaches to ensure not only the health of all, but also that our support and commitment to our clients continues uninterrupted. The obsessions of taking care of our extended family and our clients that have been the foundation of our business for over 52 years have never been mutually exclusive. This is true even more so in challenging times such as these.

While many facts about this outbreak are still evolving, we believe that social distancing is a key to stopping the spread of this virus, as well as doing our part to ‘Flatten the Curve’. As of Thursday, March 12th, we made the decision to go to a 100% work from home workforce. This change was fully in effect by Friday, March 13th, close of business. Previously, we had already instituted a non-essential travel ban, heightened intra-day sanitation procedures, and leveraged even more rigorous screening of potentially ill staff members, among other initiatives. Shaw Systems is in a unique position to carry out this change in the least disruptive way possible. Significant investments over the past few years in both technology and intellectual capital have made this smooth transition possible. Due to flexibility in the past, multiple locations, and resources located across the US, we are experienced in managing a remote workforce.
We do not anticipate any impact on scheduled conversions, implementations, or the development or support of any of our ongoing efforts. Although, due to our travel restrictions, these efforts will be done remotely rather than onsite.
