Ways to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo (the fifth of May) is a celebration to commemorate the Mexican’s army’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Here are a couple of ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo either in the office or at home:
- Play some Mexican music and dance.
- Make yummy Mexican food: tacos, fajitas, guacamole, chips and salsa, and margaritas.
- Decorate with Mexican style decor for a party.
- Make a pinata. Check out our Pinterest board for DIY pinata ideas.
Try out our recipe for guacamole:
3 ripe avocados
1 tomato, seeded, peeled and chopped
1 small red or sweet onion, finely diced
